Fred Gui

I am a Ph.D. Candidate in the Department of Political Science at the University of Rochester. My research interests are American political institutions, bureaucratic politics, interest groups, state and local politics, and racial and ethnic politics. Some of my work has been published at the Presidential Studies Quarterly and Interest Groups & Advocacy.

Before starting my Ph.D. study at the University of Rochester, I finished my MA in American Foreign Policy and International Economics from the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies. I also worked at Carnegie Endowment for International Peace's DC office as an editorial assistant in 2017 and 2018.
